Where do you like to sit?
When I fly on an airplane, I prefer to sit in an aisle seat as close to the front of the plane as possible. My second choice is window near the front. And if the flight is not to long I will take a middle seat to be closer to the front of the plane. But if the flight is 2 hours or longer the aisle or window seat is much more important than sitting near the front of the plane. Why do I want to be in the front of the plane? The main reason is so I can be one of the first to deplane when we reach the destination. This can be very important to help ensure I make my connecting flight. And who wants to spend any more time than is necessary on a plane? I like the aisle so I can get out of my seat when I desire without disturbing anyone else. I like to get up and walk around a little to keep the blood circulating to all my limbs. And I don't sleep well on a plane so someone who does may as well have the window seat. One tip about seat location. Go online and check your seat location and what is available. Most of the airlines open the exit row and some of the other held seats 24 hours before the flights scheduled departure. So I don't check in before this time as I am usually able to locate a better seat the day of my flight. then I check in and print my boarding pass.

I believe that, statistically speaking, sitting within seven rows of an exit gives you the best chance of surviving a minor crash.
And always count the number of rows it is so you can feel your way through a smoke-filled plane.
Not cheery, but it could be helpful to know!

I'm with David on this one.
Window is my preference.
And I pump my ankles and rotate them while seated to give me some circulation.
THen again you ARE the Road Warrior and are on planes WAY more often than I am right now.
Thanks for communicating this to the team.

Thanks for the great tips!
I'm pretty much ok anywhere on the plane as long as I'm not next to someone huge who will take up half my seat along with theirs. Oh...and I hate the very last row, because you can't lean your seat back.

Scott, For a long flight (like Japan) I always look here:

And many international flights only have power connections in the first five to ten rows of Cattle Class, so on a really long flight that is the best way to keep the laptop running...
